683 TP TELESCOPIC PILE DRIVER – THE SENSATION FOR SPECIALISED CIVIL ENGINEERING

BAUMA 2010 trade press, 19/20 January 2010

Another demonstration of Thyssenkrupp GfT Bautechnik’s impressive innovative power – in the shape of the new 683 TP crawler-mounted telescopic pile driver.

In close cooperation with Sennebogen and the Dutch company Machinefabriek A. van Hattem & Zoon B.V., the 683 TP has been created as the perfect combination of telescopic crane and leader – a unique addition to the market.

In practice the entirely new concept is convincing: robust design, easy-to-control technology, compact dimensions and very fast erection on site without the need for an auxiliary crane. Leaders up to 38 m long can be added as required. With a maximum extraction capacity of 60 t and a maximum load (hammer + pile) of up to 32 t, the 683 TP is the optimum partner for all customary pile-driving methods.

The leader with its lattice boom design is extremely strong and torsion-resistant, which makes it ideal for pile-driving operations. Up to four winches can be mounted directly on the leader with the help of the patented attachment system. The reinforced telescopic boom has been specially designed for extreme loads, which it easily withstands. The necessary stability during operations is ensured by the 3.90 m hydraulically extendable undercarriage with B7 gauge crawler tracks combined with a strong rear-end pad cylinder.
The 683 TP is a smart and economical combination of two machines in one. Equipped with a complete crane safety system, the 683 TP quickly and reliably handles any lifting task on site. Within just a few hours the machine can be converted from a specialised civil engineering device to a fully functional telescopic crane. The two-part telescopic boom enables crane operations with loads of up to 80 t. In combination with the fly jib a length of up to 34.8 m is possible. A very economical and flexible solution for more efficiency on site.

The new maXcab spacious, comfortable cabin with sliding door and sideward tilting option provides a perfect view of the working area. Ergonomic controls, a functional design and integrated automatic air-conditioning ensure comfortable, fatigue-free working. The powerful 186 kW TIER III technology diesel engine provides all the power needed for most jobs. A 670 kW power pack, attached with the help of an optional frame, is available for handling large vibro hammers. The 683 TP – a combination of telescopic crane and leader that is unique in the world!
